There is a story in Ai Sp@ce. The story itself is in season 3 at the moment.
The story starts after you create your character and do the first quest.
A short summary of the story:
The train that brings you to Akihabara train station.
You just moved to Ai Sp@ce.
Shinju, one of the jewels of Sotokanda office.
After you talked to the officials and moved in to your new house,
One of the possible character dolls.
you were visited by a mysterious girl, also known as a Chara Doll, sent by Sotokanda office, who'll turn your life upside down.
Lapis and her robot.
And if she wouldn't be enough, a stranger called Lapis appears and starts hunting people in
their dreams, and Sotokanda hires you and your partner to deal with the threat.
